Love Live! The School Idol Movie "Spoiler-Free" Review

IMPORTANT NOTICE: I'll do my best to make this review "spoiler-free". I won't be posting screenshots too.

October 8, 2015 - I finally watched the most awaited movie for Love Live! fans, especially to the Filipino fans like me who waited for months just to watch this in the big screen. We're very HAPPY that we have the chance to watch this, and pay for it just to show our LOVE and SUPPORT to our favorite anime. I had finally seen my beloved Kotori once again!

It's time to set aside the roller coaster of emotions and the hangover from watching the movie, and let me get straight to the point. Here's my brief review about the movie.

*The events took place after their victory from the Love Live! competition. That was also the time they decided to disband the group. As a big fan of this show, I definitely didn't want them to disband. I wanted them to continue singing, dancing, and giving joy to their fans. The movie I just watched somehow reached out to me, trying to tell me something that caused me to have mixed emotions while watching it.

Yes, the movie told me that good things must come to an end. It's time to close the curtains for μ's. When I realized that, I seriously wanted to shed a tear. I know it's embarrassing to say this. A guy controlling his tears while watching the movie, knowing that his favorite group of heroines from a not-so-manly anime must disband. That would also mean that I won't be seeing Kotori talking and doing something different for a while.

*I enjoyed the music and their performances. The performances were finely detailed, and I'm seriously digging the songs from the movie.

*I'm not a pro in making movie criticisms, but somehow I felt a missing transition in between before and during the start of the Angelic Angel performance. I might be not paying attention much though because I kept focusing on Kotori. LOL!

*I might had raised my expectations too high about this movie. I was expecting something that will inevitably make me cry, but I was able to hold on my emotions while watching.

To conclude this review, I'm giving this movie an 8 out of 10.

The story of the girls may have ended, but as Love Live! fans, they will always remain in our hearts! Thank you, Honoka, Umi, Kotori, Hanayo, Rin, Maki, Eli, Nozomi, and Nico. THANK YOU FOR MAKING ME SMILE UNTIL NOW!
